Burna Boy, Shakira perform at Barclays Center show in New York

Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu, fondly called Burna Boy, on Monday, joined Colombian singer Shakira on stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, for a surprise performance of their 2026 FIFA World Cup song, ‘Dai Dai’.

Videos circulating online showed the artistes giving the live rendition of ‘Dai Dai’ on stage, following their history-making  half-time show performance at the just concluded FIFA World Cup final.

The Barclays Center concert is part of Shakira’s ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ World Tour.

The electrifying chemistry between Burna Boy and Shakira during the stage appearance and the song’s chart-topping success further reinforce Afrobeats’ massive international appeal.
