Popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, fondly called Burna Boy, has been listed among musicians to perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards in the United States.
The organisers of the coveted awards, the Recording Academy, announced this in a statement on Monday, January 22, 2024.
The event has been scheduled to hold in Los Angeles, United States, on February 4.
Burna Boy’s inclusion makes him the first African musician to perform at the Grammy Awards.

Other singers to perform at the 2024 Grammy Awards include Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Luke Combs, and Travis Scott.
The Recording Academy stated: “Burna Boy, Luke Combs and Travis Scott have been added to the performer lineup for the 2024 GRAMMYs. They join previously announced performers Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo.
“The 2024 GRAMMYs air live Sunday, February 4, on CBS and Paramount+”
For the 2024 edition, Burna Boy was nominated in four categories, including Best Melodic Rap Performance (Sittin’ On Top Of The World), Best Global Music Performance (Alone), Best African Music Performance (City Boys), and Best Global Music Album (I Told Them).
The ‘Last Last’ crooner’s fifth studio album, ‘Twice as Tall’, won Best World Music Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards in 2021.
