Christian leaders laud Uba Sani’s inclusive leadership at Kaduna Christmas Carol

Christian leaders from different church denominations have praised Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his inclusive leadership style, anchored on fairness, equity and unity across the state.

The commendations were made during a Christmas carol organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government on Sunday.

Speaking at the event, Bishop Ademola Tinuoye, Chairman of the Pentecostal Bishops’ Forum (PBF), recalled the commitments Governor Uba Sani made when he assumed office, noting that he has remained faithful to them.

“He promised fairness, equity, inclusiveness and justice. Today, we can see these promises reflected in his style of governance. Everyone is being carried along,” Bishop Tinuoye said, adding that the people of Kaduna State are rejoicing under his leadership.

The Bishop also noted that the Governor had promised to support the Christmas carol, a pledge he fulfilled, describing the event as a symbol of love and unity. He assured the Governor of continued prayers and support from the Christian community.

In his goodwill message, the President of the United Church of Christ, Reverend Dr Amos Kiri, commended Governor Uba Sani for attending the event with members of his cabinet, describing it as a clear demonstration of love, peace and inclusive governance.

According to Rev Kiri, the presence of the Governor at a major Christian programme was reassuring and historic, noting that this year’s carol had also taken on an interfaith dimension with the participation of people from other faiths.

He expressed optimism that if the Governor sustains his current leadership approach, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large will continue to enjoy peace and development.

Also speaking, Rev Dr Tunde Bolanta, Apostolic Overseer of Restoration Ministries Worldwide, described Christmas as a season of peace, unity and bridge-building, noting that Governor Uba Sani has exemplified these values.

Drawing from past experiences, Rev Bolanta said the Governor’s leadership is restoring the spirit of peaceful coexistence Kaduna was known for in earlier decades. He added that the Governor’s commitment to development across all parts of the state shows he is a leader for everyone.

The Christian leaders collectively called for continued prayers for the Governor, urging him to sustain his inclusive and unifying leadership style for the peace and progress of Kaduna State and the nation.
