Christmas: EFCC Chair Olukoyede urges Nigerians to embrace love, unity

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has called on Nigerians to uphold the values of love, light and hope as the nation marks Christmas.

In a Christmas message delivered in Abuja on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, Olukoyede said the ideals demonstrated by Christ should guide citizens as they work together to build a stronger nation.

He noted that Nigeria needs “the refreshing hope, love and light which Christ brought to the entire world,” stressing that unity and collective effort remain essential for national progress.

Olukoyede also warned that corruption continues to hinder development and urged Nigerians to confront it with renewed determination so that, according to him, “the abundant life of God” can be reflected in the country.

The EFCC chairman further encouraged citizens to support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, expressing optimism that the initiative would inspire confidence in a greater and more prosperous Nigeria.
