A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in the Ikeja area of Lagos State has remanded a 74-year-old man, Aderinsola Addiths, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for defiling his neighbour’s teenage daughter.
The Chief Magistrate, O. O Kushanu, on Tuesday, May 6, refused to listen to Addiths’ plea and ordered him to be remanded in the Kirikiri Correctional Centre until May 20, 2025, pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The prosecutor, ASP Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offence was committed in 2024 and February 2025 at the accused residence.
