Davido reveals $3.7m spent for Miami wedding to Chioma

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that his white wedding to wife Chioma Rowland Adeleke has so far cost a staggering $3.7 million.

The singer made the revelation while chatting with friends ahead of the star-studded event in Miami, USA, insisting that such a huge budget means guests should expect an unforgettable experience.

“We have spent $3.7 million in cash. So we should know what we are doing. We are going crazy,” Davido said.

The lavish celebration, tagged Chivido 2025, kicked off with a Havana Night-themed pre-wedding party attended by music stars Zlatan, Adekunle Gold, B-Red, as well as Davido’s siblings Sharon and Adewale Adeleke.

Clips from the party showed Chioma in a short fairytale-style white cut-out dress, while Davido kept it casual with a cowboy hat.

The couple arrived in Miami on Wednesday, August 6, with family, close friends, and crew members to prepare for the ceremony.

Their traditional wedding, held in Lagos in June 2024, was widely described as the “Wedding of the Year” and was graced by Lagos and Osun State governors, the Ooni of Ife, billionaire businessmen, and numerous celebrities.

At that ceremony, Davido promised Chioma’s parents he would protect, respect, and cherish their daughter.
