Nigerian music superstar Davido has called on Twitch CEO Dan Clancy to increase content creator Carter Efe’s deal to $1 million during a recent livestream.
Carter Efe, the former skit maker turned streamer, had invited Davido to join his Twitch session, where the singer spent time engaging with fans both in the studio and online.
During the livestream, Davido directly appealed to Clancy, saying his voice carries influence and urging the platform to increase the deal.
He stated, “The CEO of Twitch, I know you’re going to hear this because my voice gets power. Up the deal… don’t leave it at 100—up the deal to a million dollars.”
Carter Efe was left in shock by the unexpected endorsement, expressing his disbelief with loud reactions on the stream.
He later thanked Davido, joking,
“Thank God say I no collect deal o.”
The moment highlighted Davido’s influence in supporting upcoming Nigerian talents and brought global attention to Carter Efe’s Twitch presence.
