A Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Kajola Police Station in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, CSP Nimrod Anaka, has been confirmed dead.
The Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, confirmed the DPO’s demise on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Ayanlade did not give details of the DPO and what led to his death.
Ayanlade said: “I can confirm that the DPO (Anaka) has died, but it’s only a medical expert who can confirm what caused his death.

“His age and indigene will be made known to the public later.”
It was further gathered that Anaka, who reportedly developed a sudden illness, died on his way to a hospital for treatment on Tuesday.
The news of the DPO’s death threw the officers attached to the station into mourning.
A source disclosed that Anaka’s body had been deposited at a mortuary.
