D’Tigress arrive Abuja with Afrobasket trophy

Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has returned to the country following their historic fifth consecutive title win at the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The team arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday.

Tinubu lauds D’Tigress for winning fifth consecutive Afrobasket title

The team will also be received by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa afterwards.

D’Tigress became the first team in Africa to win five consecutive Afrobasket titles on Sunday night.
