Tinubu to celebrate 74th birthday ‘low key’, reaffirms commitment to Nigeria’s growth

President Bola Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their goodwill messages and support as he celebrated his 74th birthday, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.

In a message to citizens on the occasion, Tinubu thanked Nigerians for their prayers, patriotism and solidarity, noting that he remained honoured by the opportunity to serve the country.

The president also appreciated those who took out newspaper advertisements and sponsored radio and television airtime to celebrate him, describing their gestures as deeply encouraging.

He specifically acknowledged his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind words, and commended Vice President Kashim Shettima for his tribute.

Tinubu said he opted for a low-key celebration in line with the mood of the nation, while reflecting on the challenges faced since the introduction of his administration’s reforms.

Tinubu stated: “Consistent with my tradition over the years to mark my birthday in line with the mood of the nation each year, I resolved to also observe this year’s birthday low key.

Oluremi hails Tinubu at 74

“As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we’ve faced since we initiated our reforms.

“I’m glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel, despite the temporary setback caused by ongoing Middle East crisis.

“The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and to our government. We achieved the gains together.

“As we march towards the third anniversary of our administration, it is my deepest conviction that we shall succeed in building a brighter future for our citizens and future generations.”

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the government’s efforts to build a stronger, resilient nation and make Nigeria the pride of Africa.
