The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency, Natasha Osawaru, to appear before the Standing Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week over an alleged offensive video.
The Speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku, announced the summon during plenary on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The Speaker said the summon was sequel to a viral video linked to Osawaru that allegedly brought embarrassment to the Assembly.
The lawmaker has since been trending after a video of her in an altercation with her husband, music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, went viral.
Agbebaku said the video raised concerns about the lawmaker’s conduct and decorum.
He, therefore, directed the committee to investigate the matter and submit its report to the House within two weeks.

The Speaker stated that the step was part of the Assembly’s efforts to maintain the integrity and dignity of its members.
Osawaru is expected to appear before the committee to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the viral video.
Agbebaku said: “The Assembly’s action demonstrates its commitment to holding its members accountable for their actions and ensuring that they maintain the highest standards of conduct and decorum.
“The outcome of the investigation is expected to determine the next course of action.”
Osawaru has also been involved in some controversies, including being ordered out of the Assembly chamber at a time for improper dressing and wearing dark sunglasses.
She had also faced public scrutiny for her relationship with 2Baba.
