The chairman of the Ekiti State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotosho, has been confirmed dead.
It was gathered that Omotosho died in the early hours of Wednesday, March 6, 2024, after a brief illness.
It was learnt that the Imesi Ekiti-born politician actively participated in a series of political meetings on Monday.

He was said to have complained of feeling unwell on Tuesday, which caused him to be rushed to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he later died.
Confirming the APC chairman’s demise, the publicity secretary of the party in Ekiti State, Segun Dipe, said he could not give the cause of Omotosho’s death or any other information about the incident.
The Star recalls that Omotosho was kidnapped in July 2023 and was released after five days in captivity.
