EPL fixtures: Liverpool host Man United as Arsenal face Fulham

Liverpool will look to reignite their Premier League title charge when they welcome bitter rivals Manchester United to Anfield this weekend.

Liverpool have endured a difficult run, losing three straight games across all competitions, including league defeats to Crystal Palace and Chelsea, and a Champions League setback at Galatasaray.

The poor form has allowed Arsenal to reclaim top spot, with Liverpool now trailing the leaders by just one point.

Arne Slot’s men will, however, draw confidence from their recent dominance over United, having lost only once in their past 14 league meetings. Liverpool famously thrashed United 7-0 in March 2023, and fans have been quick to remind their rivals of that memorable night.

Mohamed Salah, who scored twice in that game, has an impressive record against United, finding the net in 10 of the last 11 clashes between the two clubs. Yet the Egyptian forward will be seeking to rediscover his spark, while new signings Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak are still adapting to life at Anfield.

United, managed by Ruben Amorim, have not won at Anfield since 2016 but have earned draws in their last two visits.

Despite sitting mid-table, they will be eager to exploit Liverpool’s recent defensive frailties and pull off a rare upset on Merseyside.

Meanwhile, Premier League leaders Arsenal will aim to strengthen their hold at the top of the table when they take on Fulham this weekend.

The Gunners moved to first place after Liverpool’s recent slump, with the champions suffering consecutive defeats in the league and Europe.

Mikel Arteta’s men, who have been in fine form, will look to take advantage of Liverpool’s struggles to widen the gap in the title race.

Fulham, meanwhile, will hope to disrupt Arsenal’s momentum after producing mixed results in recent weeks.

As Liverpool prepare for a heated clash with United, all eyes will also be on Arsenal to see whether they can maintain their rhythm and establish a firmer grip on the Premier League summit.
