The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has dumped the party.
Jandor announced his resignation from the PDP at a press briefing in the Ikeja area of Lagos State on Monday, March 3, 2025.
The former PDP governorship candidate hinged his decision on the alleged indiscipline and anti-party activities in the opposition party.
He also accused some Lagos PDP leaders of working against the party in the 2023 election.

“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the PDP,” Jandor said.
Before joining the PDP, Jandor was a member of the All Progressives Congress and led the Lagos4Lagos Movement, advocating for internal democracy in the APC.
He defected to the PDP in January 2022 and secured the party’s gubernatorial ticket for the 2023 governorship election in Lagos State.
Jandor, in the 2023 election, came a distant third, behind incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP).
