Faith Oyedepo: How God saved me from death

Faith Oyedepo, the wife of the Founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has disclosed how God rescued her from a life-threatening situation.

Faith said she passed “through the valley of death”, but God “reached out, lifted me from the pit, and restored my soul.”

She disclosed this in a post shared on her Instagram account on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

She further described herself as “living proof” that God still saves and preserves life against all odds.

Mrs Oyedepo wrote: “Some years ago, I passed through the valley of death, but God rescued me from destruction. It was a season when everything around me seemed dark. Yet, in His mercy, God reached out, lifted me from the pit, and restored my soul.

“I am living proof that He is still the Deliverer who saves from danger and preserves life against all odds.

“Whatever valley you may be walking through right now, know this: God is able to bring you out stronger, healthier, and full of His peace. Will you let Him write your rescue story too?”

Faith and her husband recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.

The couple tied the knot in 1982, and the union is blessed with four children.
