FCTA seals PDP secretariat in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has sealed off the national secretariat of the Peoples Deomcratic Party (PDP) in the Wuse Zone 5 area of Abuja over unpaid ground rent.

The PDP secretariat was sealed on Monday afternoon.

This comes ahead of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting slated for Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

FCTA seals FIRS, Access Bank, others in Abuja over unpaid ground rent

The NEC is the highest decision-making organ of the PDP, comprising state governors, serving and former presidents, the chairman and secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT), principal officers of the National Assembly, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), and former governors, among others.

The FCTA had earlier sealed the Federal Internal Revenue Service (FIRS), Access Bank, and Total Energy in Abuja over unpaid ground rent.

The Director of Land, FCTA, Chijoke Nwankwoeze, disclosed that the exercise marked the commencement of taking possession of more than 4,794 revoked properties by the FCTA.
