Fire razes Yinka Ayefele’s radio station in Ibadan

A late-night fire on Friday gutted the studio of Fresh FM, a popular Ibadan-based radio station owned by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele.

The blaze, which broke out shortly after 8:00 p.m. at the station’s facility in the Challenge area of the city, was confirmed by the Chairman of Oyo State Fire Services, Morouf Akinwande.

Akinwande said firefighters were quickly deployed to the scene and succeeded in putting out the fire.

He noted that further details on the cause and extent of damage would be released after investigations.
