Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has reshuffled the leadership of some of the Senate Committees, naming Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from Kogi State as the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Local Content.
Akpabio, who made the declaration at the plenary in Abuja on Tuesday, also named Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (APC-Ondo) as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs.
Senator Patrick Ndubueze (APC-Imo) is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Steel Development; Sen. Shuaibu Lau (PDP-Taraba) is the Chairman, Committee on Tourism; while Sen. Binos Yaroe (PDP-Adamawa) was named the Chairman, Committee on State and Local Government Affairs.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Atomic and Nuclear Energy is Sen. Sahabi Yau (APC-Zamfara); the Chairman, Senate Committee on Youth and Community Engagement, Sen. Yemi Adaramodu (APC-Ekiti); while the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sport Development is Sen. Kawu Sumaila (NNPP Kano).
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs is Sen. Olajide Ipinsagba (APC-Ondo); while the Chairman, Senate Committee on Art, Culture and Creative Economy is Sen. Ogoshi Onawo (PDP-Nasarawa State)
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream is Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah (APC-Anambra); while the Chairman, Senate Committee on Solid Minerals Development is Sen. Sampson Ekong (PDP-Ekong).
Akpabio added that the action was for effectiveness.
