Simon Soludo, the father of Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has been confirmed dead at the age of 92.
It was gathered that Simon died in the early hours of Monday, November 6, 2023, after an illness.
Confirming the demise of the governor’s father, Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, said: “Yes, it is true. I will soon issue a statement on it.”

Aburime, in the statement, said Simon, popularly known as Ichie Akukananwa 1 of Isuofia in Aguata Local Governent Area, was survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, 22 grand-children, and six great-grandchildren.
He quoted Governor Soludo as saying his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the age of 92.
He added that further information would be communicated to the public in due course.
