A non-governmental organisation, the Christain Conscience, has urged the federal government to implement the 2025 budget with a human face so that Nigerians can enjoin the dividend of democracy.

The Christain Conscience made the call after its monthly executive meeting held in t the lkeja area of Lagos State on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

The group said: “Drawing inference from laudable previous policies of government but often times, implementation has always been the problem.

“Hence, we call on the political class and technocrats in the various government offices that will be saddled with its implementation to do so with all sincerity and fear of God.”

The group further noted that “though the attendant pains and suffering that follows the federal government’s reform initiatives is painfiul and unbearable for the masses, the succour is that we have been assured by President Bola Tinubu and other relevant agencies that in no diatance future, an end to such sufferings are already on sight.”

It added: “As we enter the festive season, we felicitate with Nigerians and further urged them to be their brothers’ keeper by giving to the less privileged in the society.

“Nigerians are enjoined to celebrate moderately and offer love and give generously to their neighbours that are in need.

“While wishing a happy Christmas celebrations and a prosperous New year to all Christain faithful, we wish all Nigerians happy new year in advance.”
