The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma, as the chairman of the party’s Osun State Governorship National Campaign Council and its sub-committees.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, made this known via a statement issued on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

The council has Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as co-chairmen.

Morka stated that the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari, would serve as deputy chairman of the council and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin as the secretary.

Morka said the council comprised eminent party leaders, governors, members of its National Working Committee (NWC), principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers and federal and state legislators, among others.
