Gunmen kidnap Nasarawa governor’s aide

Gunmen have abducted Muhammed Egye Osolafia, the Senior Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services to Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, in the state.

It was gathered that Osolafia, popularly known as Deedat, was abducted during an attack in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, on Saturday night.

The residents of the area disclosed that the assailants fired into the air to disperse people in the area before whisking the governor’s aide away to an unknown destination.

Police arrest 6 for killing officers in Benue

The governor’s Senior Special Adviser on Public Affairs, Peter Ahemba, confirmed the incident on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

Ahemba described the incident as “sad and unfortunate,” revealing that he first learned of the abduction from a colleague.

At press time, the Nasarawa State Police Command had yet to release an official statement on the incident.
