Gunmen kill 3 siblings, N60m ransom conveyor In Taraba

Gunmen have killed three abducted siblings and a motorcycle rider after collecting N60 million ransom from the siblings’ father in Garin Dogo, Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

It was gathered that three of the victims were of the same parents and were abducted by kidnappers on Sunday at Garin Dogo.

It was learned that the father of the victims, a cattle dealer, later agreed to pay N60 million ransom to the kidnappers for the release of his children.

He was said to have hired a motorcycle rider to deliver the ransom to the abductors at a  forest near the village.

It was however gathered that the kidnappers killed the abducted siblings and the motorcycle rider after collecting the ransom.

Meanwhile, five suspected kidnappers were killed by the troops of the Nigerian Army at Maisamari town in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State on Sunday.

The gunmen, who were said to be behind most of the kidnappings in the area, were killed by the troops while trying to kidnap a cattle dealer in the area.

The incidents were confirmed by the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Usman Abdullahi.
