Gunmen, suspected to be armed robbers, have killed a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Sampson Owobo, and his wife in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
It was gathered that the retired police officer and his wife were shot dead by the gunmen around the Chisco Transport company office in Owerri at about 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
An eyewitness, who declined to be named, disclosed that the couple, who run a Point Of Sale (PoS) business in the area, were shot dead after the robbers tried to dispossess them of a sum amount of money.
