The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police, Ali Giwa, as the new Force New Media Officer of the Nigeria Police Force.
The appointment was announced by the police on Friday as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Force’s digital communication strategy and improve engagement with the public through online platforms.
In his new role, CSP Giwa will oversee the police’s digital communication channels and coordinate the dissemination of information across social media platforms.
The development forms part of broader changes within the Force Public Relations Department aimed at modernising police communication and promoting transparency.
