Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has reignited her long-running feud with fellow actress Lizzy Anjorin, accusing her of resorting to diabolic means, including taking her name and that of her children to a herbalist.
The conflict between the two actresses dates back to 2023, when they began publicly attacking each other on social media.
In June 2024, there appeared to be a moment of calm, suggesting a possible truce between them.
However, over a year later, tensions have flared again, with both women resuming their online confrontations.
The latest escalation comes just days after Iyabo Ojo’s Lagos office was gutted by fire, an incident that has sparked fresh accusations.
On Friday, Iyabo Ojo addressed the public via Instagram, warning that Lizzy Anjorin should be held responsible if any harm comes to her or her children.
This came shortly after Lizzy Anjorin claimed that Iyabo Ojo’s ₦1 billion lawsuit against her had been dismissed by the court.
Anjorin wrote on Instagram, “Iyabo Ojo’s N1 billion lawsuit against Lizzy Anjorin is dismissed, the court ordered Iyabo Ojo to pay Lizzy Anjorin a certain amount.”
In response, Iyabo Ojo released a video clarifying that what had taken place was not a full court trial but an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) session.
She explained that the judge at the ADR session had recommended an amicable settlement and later dismissed the mediation, not the case itself.
“Lizzy Anjorin, I have a video where you said I should be held responsible if anything happens to you or your family,” Iyabo said.
“That is precisely what I have been waiting for—you to mention my name publicly.”
According to Iyabo, the case was initially reassigned to another court, but somehow Lizzy brought it back to the ADR judge, who then declined to continue with it.
She emphasized that neither party had begun calling witnesses or presenting formal evidence, meaning the actual court case had yet to begin.
Iyabo Ojo also accused Lizzy Anjorin of falsely claiming ignorance about the identities of social media bloggers like Sepeteri and Gistlover during the ADR process.
She alleged that Lizzy denied having personal issues with her, claiming instead that her grievances stemmed from Iyabo’s association with people who allegedly bullied her online.
Iyabo insisted that Lizzy has consistently gone after her and anyone associated with her, including friends, family, and even her partner.
She said she filed the lawsuit after enduring repeated defamatory claims, false accusations, and online harassment from Anjorin.
“There’s nothing you haven’t accused me of,” Iyabo said, “including taking my name and my children’s names to a herbalist to lay curses.”
She also accused Lizzy of linking her and her partner to the death of the late singer, Mohbad—allegations Iyabo described as baseless and harmful.
“If anything happens to me, my daughter Priscilla, my son Festus, or my son-in-law, Lizzy Anjorin should be held fully responsible,” Iyabo declared.
She vowed to hold Lizzy accountable in court, referencing a specific video in which Anjorin allegedly said someone’s newlywed daughter should be killed using voodoo and buried in sand.
Iyabo revealed that she has filed a criminal petition against Lizzy and is prepared to prove her case in court.
“You will explain in court how I and my partner supposedly killed Mohbad,” she added.
“Every single allegation will be addressed legally and publicly.”
Iyabo concluded by stating that now that Lizzy has mentioned her name directly, the legal battle will move forward, and justice will be pursued.
