Aston Villa handed Manchester City their first Premier League defeat of the season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory on Saturday, thanks to a brace from Nicolas Jackson.
Villa took the lead through Jackson, who found the back of the net to put the hosts ahead at Villa Park in six minutes before Manchester City responded in the second half through Erling Haaland, whose headed effort restored parity.
With both sides pushing for a winner, Jackson struck again, beating goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with his second goal of the match to seal all three points for Villa.

The defeat marked City’s first dropped points of the Premier League campaign, ending their perfect start to the season. City have now lost on their past four visits to Villa Park.
Villa have won five and drawn one of their past six games in all competitions as new signings Jackson, Johan Manzambi, and Zion Suzuki have quickly settled in to mitigate the loss of Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, and Emi Martinez.
