Tanzanian-Nigerian singer, Juma Jux, has revealed that it was emotionally challenging to convince his wife, Priscilla Ojo, to embrace Islam ahead of their much-celebrated wedding.
In an interview with Afrik Media, Jux disclosed that the process of guiding Priscilla—daughter of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo—towards Islam required patience and emotional depth.
He said he leaned on the guidance of Islamic scholars to navigate the sensitive journey.
“It was a little difficult convincing my wife to become a Muslim,” he said.
“Religious leaders taught me the proper way to approach her—with love and understanding. Over time, she came to understand and accept it.”
The couple recently held a lavish wedding celebration that captured attention across East and West Africa.
Jux described the event as a deeply spiritual milestone, adding that he had dreamt of the moment long before it happened.
“I had a dream about my wedding. I was lucky to find someone who shares the same vision with me,” he added.
Following the ceremony, Jux and Priscilla shared heartfelt messages of gratitude on social media, thanking friends, fans, and family for their overwhelming support.
Although the couple faced criticism from some social media users—one of whom questioned Jux’s background—the pair has remained united, proudly embracing both their love story and spiritual journey.
