Troops of Sector 7 have arrested a suspected kidnapper believed to be connected to the abduction of four persons in Ancha village, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 10:30am on April 4 at Zuturuntinta village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, following credible intelligence that led troops directly to his location.
The arrest is part of sustained military efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks operating across the volatile Kaduna-Plateau border corridor — an area that has seen a pattern of abductions targeting local communities.
The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Troops are working to establish the whereabouts of the four abducted victims, with follow-up operations intensified across the general area to track down other members of the criminal network.
Military authorities said the pursuit of remaining suspects and the rescue of the victims remain active priorities.
