The Lagos State chapter of the Christ Morning Star of Nigeria (CMSN) has re-elected Ebenezer Sobowale as its president for another three year term.
Sobowale was re-elected at the CMSN election held in Lagos on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
The election had CMSN members from parishes in all the Dioceses that made up Lagos chapter. They are Diocese of Lagos, Lagos West, Lagos Mainland, and Badagry.
The event commenced with a church service conducted by Rev. Sola Adesanya who represented Ven Sunday Folorunsho Oginni, the acting Vicar/Administrator of
St Paul’s Anglican Church, Owutu in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
In his sermon, Adesanya urged CMSN members to always show love to one and other.
He also enjoined them to conduct their annual general meeting and elections with decorum by allowing Christ to lead them always.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Electorate Committee, Okeowo Oderinde, informed the gathering that his committee “painstakingly and diligently” selected the members who applied for the posts against their names which were earlier publicised in various society’s plartforms.
The elected officials are Ebenezer Olusegun Sobowale (President), Odofin Adeola (Vice President), Esther Omobolanle Hammed (General Secretary), Samuel Kehinde Sanwoolu (Assistant General Secretary), Lucy Omojeme Ajayi (Treasurer), and A. Ogedengbe (Vice Chairman 2).
Others include Inamiyang Ann (Financial Secretary), Olatunji Oguntuase (Media/Publicity Secretary), Abisola Olufunmilola Arowolo (Social Secretary), Olumide Sodamola (Welfare Officer 1), Omolara Akhigbe (Welfare Officer 2).
Sunday Olukolu and Ahmed Yakubu emerged as auditors, while ex-officio members included Adetokunbo Oso and Gbenga Ogunwole.
