The Lagos State Government has shut a popular nightclub in the Ikoyi area of the state, Silk Club, over noise pollution.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, made this known in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday night.

Wahab disclosed that the nightclub was sealed by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), who acted on his orders.
The commissioner stated: “As I directed, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency @LasepaOfficial conducted a nighttime enforcement operation, leading to the closure and sealing of Silk Club at 190, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi due to noise pollution.”
