Man arraigned for sharing girlfriend’s nude online

A 26-year-old man, Damilola Emmanuel, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly cyberstalking his girlfriend and sharing her nude video on social media.

Emmanuel, a resident of Ajila Royal Quarters, Elebu, Ibadan, is facing charges of defamation, criminal threats, and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.

According to the police prosecutor, W/PC Olapeju Durodola, the incident occurred on May 24. Emmanuel allegedly uploaded explicit videos of his 24-year-old girlfriend on Snapchat and other social media platforms.

The prosecution stated that the act was carried out with the intent to damage the woman’s reputation and expose her to public disgrace, hatred, and ridicule.
