Man defiles neighbour’s 2-year-old daughter in Lagos

A Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State has remanded a 30- year-old fashion designer, Idris Adams, in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s two-year-old daughter.

The Chief Magistrate, Bola Osunsanmi, who ordered the remand of the man on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, refused to take Adams’ plea.

Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem, told the court that the offence was committed on February 26.

The prosecutor said the child was taken to the hospital for medical examination.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Osunsanmi, therefore, adjourned the matter until March 28 for legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
