Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has vowed to pursue justice for the 13 travellers who were killed by a mob at Mangun, in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The victims from Kaduna State were killed on their way to a wedding in Plateau State in June 2025. 11 of the deceased were from Unguwan Dantsoho village.
Sani said Allah has placed the protection of lives and property on him, adding that he will not rest on his oars until he discharges this responsibility.
The governor made the pledge at Unguwan Dantsoho, Sabon Gari ward in Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Tuesday, September 8.

The governor recalled that he had promised to give financial assistance to the families of those who lost their lives and provide houses for them, which he has fulfilled.
He added that the people had complained of a lack of road when he came for the condolence visit, adding that that was why he was performing the groundbreaking for the 6-kilometre road.

According to the Governor, Kudan local government is one of the 12 area councils that have not benefited from any road construction in the last 12 years, adding that politicians from the area should be ashamed of themselves.
Governor Sani also promised to construct a hospital in Unguwan Dantsoho village, adding that the project will commence as soon as possible.
He also pledged to provide financial assistance to women.
Sani stated: “Some politicians are good at just appearing on television, claiming that their administration had accrued several billions, but there is nothing to show on ground. We are not a government of noise makers.
“When I assumed office, I promised to take development to both urban and rural areas because the revenue of Kaduna State does not belong to city dwellers alone.”
The governor commended the residents of Kudan for maintaining peace, urging them to sustain the spirit as development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.
