A 17-year-old Lagos State University student, Eniola Ogunsiji, who had been reported missing for about a week, has been found in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, though full details of the circumstances surrounding her recovery remained unclear as of press time.
Ogunsiji had been reported missing after she left her home at about 7:30am on Friday, April 17, 2026, to write an examination but never arrived at the university.
Her disappearance had sparked a public advocacy campaign, with concerned individuals and groups amplifying calls for her safe return.
A brief statement from one of those involved in the advocacy confirmed her recovery on Friday.
“To the glory of God, this young girl has been found. She was found in Ado-Ekiti. LASU missing student,” the statement read.
