Mwaghavul Ministers laud Mutfwang over Plateau development, urge support for gov

The Mwaghavul Ministers’ Forum has commended Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang over what they described as purposeful leadership that is fostering peace, unity, and development across the state.

Speaking during the Puus Dangnaan 2026 Annual Prayer Day – the Mwaghavul Solemn Assembly held at Mangu Stadium in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State – the forum’s chairman, Rev. Istifanus Ishaya, said the governor’s administration has demonstrated clear commitment to rebuilding Plateau through inclusive governance and strategic development programmes.

According to him, the Mwaghavul people and other communities in the state have begun to witness renewed hope through government initiatives aimed at strengthening security, reviving infrastructure and stimulating economic growth.

Ishaya noted that the administration has also taken deliberate steps toward agricultural revitalization, youth empowerment and social stability – interventions he said were gradually restoring confidence among citizens.

Ishaya described the annual Puus Dangnaan gathering as a sacred spiritual altar for the Mwaghavul Nation where the people come together to seek divine guidance and renew their covenant with God through repentance, thanksgiving and intercession for the land.

He explained that the solemn assembly is not merely a cultural event but a spiritual moment that calls the people back to righteousness, unity and moral responsibility.

Ishaya said such gatherings play a critical role in strengthening communal bonds, restoring broken relationships and inspiring a renewed commitment to peace and mutual coexistence among the Mwaghavul people.

The cleric therefore urged the community to continue supporting Governor Mutfwang’s efforts to promote peace and stability across Plateau State.

In his remarks, Mutfwang expressed gratitude to God for preserving the Mwaghavul Nation and urged the people to remain united in Christ while upholding the virtues of love, peace, and brotherhood.

The governor noted that unity among the Mwaghavul people would continue to attract development and strengthen communal progress.

He also highlighted several initiatives of his administration, including infrastructural projects and the introduction of improved seedlings of Plateau potatoes to boost agricultural productivity and enhance the livelihoods of farmers across the state.

While acknowledging past security challenges that resulted in the loss of lives, the governor thanked God for granting the state victory and stability.

Mutfwang also called on parents and community leaders to take greater responsibility in guiding the younger generation, warning against the growing challenges of child trafficking, drug abuse and other social vices.

Special prayers were offered for the Mwaghavul Nation, Plateau State, and Nigeria, with the congregation praying for wisdom and divine guidance for the governor as he continues to lead the state.
