Naira trades N1,586/$ at official market

The naira remained unchanged on Friday, May 30, 2025, closing the week at N1,586.15 to the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market.

The naira traded at the same rate on Thursday, having gained N4.59 against the dollar earlier in the day.

U.S. Supreme Court approves Trump’s request to deport 500,000 migrants

Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed the local currency appreciated on Monday and Tuesday, trading at N1,583.73 and N1,579.40, respectively.

However, the currency slightly depreciated on Wednesday, trading at N1,590.74 against the dollar.
