NDLEA nabs Togolese woman at Seme border

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended a Togolese woman, Hadiza Musa, over alleged drug trafficking at the Seme border in the Badagry area of Lagos State.

The NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, March 1, said the Togolese woman was arrested with 5,000 pills of tramadol concealed in her luggage on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Babafemi stated that 1,040 kilograms of skunk, a strain of cannabis, were also recovered from an uncompleted building at Akodo village, Seaside Eleko, along Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State by NDLEA operatives on Wednesday, February 15.

He added that the anti-narcotic officers dismantled a clandestine laboratory tucked in Isiozi Obiato, Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, and recovered 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine along with large quantity of precursor chemicals and equipment used in the production of the illicit substance on February 25.

The NDLEA spokesman stated that the agency’s War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) social advocacy activities continued across Nigeria in the past week.

He listed the activities to include WADA sensitisation lecture to students and staff of Government Girls Science Secondary School, Tungan Magajiya, Niger State; Federal Government College, Odo Oru, Ogbomoso, Oyo State; Government Day Senior Secondary School, Fagam, Jigawa State; Government Science College, Esuk Ekpoeyo, Cross River State; and Government Junior Secondary School, Rumfa College, Kano State; among others.
