NDLEA operatives have made a series of arrests across the country, including a man caught transporting 21,950 tramadol capsules concealed inside a 100-litre water heater.
The suspect, Umar Abubakar, 40, was arrested at Bode Saadu, Kwara State, on October 21, 2025, following credible intelligence.
Similarly, NDLEA patrols in Taraba State arrested two men — Auwal Musa (26) and Salihu Bala (22) — with 450,000 pills of tramadol and exol-5 at Dan-Anacha checkpoint.
In Zamfara, operatives intercepted a gunrunner, Abubakar Ibrahim (30), along Gummi-Anka road, with an AK-47 rifle and 1,746 rounds of ammunition allegedly meant for bandits in Bagega forest.
He has been handed over to relevant security agencies.
Other seizures across Kogi, Nasarawa, Ondo, Kaduna, and Lagos states included hundreds of kilograms of skunk and other psychoactive substances.
NDLEA Chairman Marwa praised the coordinated efforts of officers nationwide, emphasizing the agency’s dual approach of enforcement and public sensitization under the WADA initiative.
