Netflix has raised its subscription prices in Nigeria for the third time since 2024, marking the first increase in 2025.
The new monthly rates are: premium: ₦8,500 up from ₦7,000, standard — ₦6,500 up from ₦5,500 — basic ar ₦4,000 up from ₦3,500 while mobile ₦2,500 up from ₦2,200.
The company says the changes reflect ongoing efforts to improve content and user experience. While inflation wasn’t directly cited, Netflix noted that local economic conditions influence pricing decisions.
Nigeria’s rising inflation and recent data cost hikes are making digital services like Netflix less affordable for many households.
Similar price increases have recently been implemented in South Africa, the US, UK, and France.
