Nigeria draws Mozambique in AFCON Round of 16

Nigeria’s Super Eagles will meet Mozambique in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The match is scheduled for January 5, 2026, in Fez, Morocco at the ongoing tournament.

The fixture was confirmed after the final group games concluded, with Nigeria topping Group C thanks to three straight wins in the group stage. Mozambique earned their place in the knockout stages as one of the four best third-placed teams from the group phase.

The Round of 16 stage runs from January 3 to January 6, with several ties across host cities in Morocco. Nigeria’s clash with Mozambique will be one of the key matches on January 5, as the Super Eagles look to advance further in their quest for continental glory.
