Nine dead after truck rams commercial vehicle in Gombe

At least nine people have been confirmed dead following a fatal road accident along Yola Road in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The crash occurred on December 22 at about 7:00 a.m. near Kaluwa Village and involved a DAF truck and a Sharon commercial vehicle, both travelling in the same direction.

According to sources, the DAF truck, with registration number BLG 551 XA and driven by 41-year-old Umar Abubakar from Potiskum, Yobe State, rammed into the Sharon vehicle, registration number GME 19 XC, which was driven by Garba Sule, aged 60.
