‘Nobody is above the law’: EFCC to probe Tompolo over naira abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared its readiness to probe the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, over alleged naira abuse.

Tompolo was seen in a viral video over the weekend dancing as a man splashed N1,000 notes on him.

The video was shot in April during an event organised to commemorate Tompolo’s 54th birthday celebration.

Speaking on the incident via a post on X on Monday, May 12, 2025, the EFCC said Tompolo has a case to answer over alleged naira abuse.

The anti-graft agency published a screenshot of the viral video with the caption: “Nobody is above the law. Tompolo will have questions to answer!”
