A major regional summit aimed at transforming education in Northern Nigeria is set to take place from May 5 to 7, 2026, as the “All Northern Schools Conference 2026” convenes stakeholders from across the region.
The event, themed “Repositioning Northern Schools for Innovation, Sustainability and Impact,” will be held in Kano and is expected to bring together policymakers, educators, investors, and innovators from all 19 Northern states.
Organisers say the conference will serve as a platform for developing practical solutions and strategies to improve the quality, sustainability, and impact of education in the region.
The summit will take place at the Afficient Grand Marquee and Maryam Abacha American University, with over 1,000 participants anticipated, including school owners, principals, government officials, tech entrepreneurs, and development partners.
The conference is being convened by Hadiza Nuhu Yusuf Baba, founder of Intercontinental Schools, Kaduna.
She said the initiative reflects a strong commitment to strengthening the education sector amid evolving social and economic realities.
“Northern schools must be empowered to lead in innovation, sustainability, and impact. This conference will provide a platform for fresh ideas, partnerships, and collaborative action that can reshape education delivery across the region,” she stated.
Participants will engage in keynote sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, and solution-focused engagements covering modern teaching practices, sustainable school models, policy alignment, and investment opportunities.
Organisers stressed that the conference is designed not just as a forum for dialogue, but as a catalyst for actionable outcomes that will enhance school performance and community development.
The event highlights the growing recognition of the need for resilient and future-ready education systems to support national development, economic inclusion, and global competitiveness.
