The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given accreditation status to 10 programmes at Federal University Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa State.
This was contained in a statement issued by the university’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Yahaya, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
Yahaya said the approval for the programmes was communicated to FUD Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed via a letter signed by the NUC’s acting Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu.
NUC approves 14 programmes for Ondo varsity
According to him, the programmes with full accreditation include Master in Public Policy and Administration, Fisheries, English, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Criminology and Security Studies, and Political Science, while Cybersecurity was given an interim accreditation.
He quoted the Vice-Chancellor as thanking the NUC for the accreditation of the programmes.
Mohammed also commended the management and staff members of the university for making the positive results possible.
He said all hands must be on deck to ensure that the standard attained was maintained.
