Nuhu Bamalli poly shines at 2025 COMPODET competition

Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, has emerged victorious at the 2025 Committee of Deans of Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology (COMPODET) competition, with its student, Mr. Luka Ado, winning the National Diploma category.

Rector of the institution, Engr. Muhammad Kabir Abdullahi, in a statement, said Ado’s project, “Fabrication and Testing of Waste Oil Stove,” was adjudged the best by experts, describing it as a timely innovation that converts waste oil into affordable, sustainable energy for cooking.

He noted that the achievement underscores the polytechnic’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability, while also showcasing the quality of training offered at the institution.

Ado, who received his certificate on July 14, 2025, was praised for his ingenuity and dedication.

The Rector recalled that the polytechnic had also excelled in last year’s edition, securing third place in both the Higher and National Diploma categories.

Engr. Abdullahi commended Governor Uba Sani for providing an enabling environment that has positioned Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic as a leading institution in technical and technology education.
