Ooni set to marry two new wives in October

Barely a few weeks after getting married to Mariam Anako from Kogi State, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is set to take two new wives, Tobi Phillips and Afolasade Ashley Adegoke.

It was gathered that Ooni would be getting married to Adegoke on Friday, October 14, 2022, while the date for his marriage to Phillips has yet to be ascertained.

According to an invitation obtained on Friday, the wedding ceremony has been scheduled to hold at the Enuwa Square of Ooni’s palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Ashley, Lafogido royal house, is a chartered accountant and currently runs an NGO for less privileged kids and widows through the Ashley Adegoke Foundation.

The arrival of the new wives is coming 11 months after the exit of Naomi Silekunola, the former wife of the revered monarch, who left Ooni on December 23, 2021.

The three-year marriage between the traditional ruler and Naomi produced a son, Tadenikawo.

Ooni had earlier married Adebukola Bombata in 2008 but the marriage failed.

He later married Edo-born Zainab-Otiti Obanor in 2016 but the union lasted for 17 months before their separation.
