Osinbajo to meet APC Senators, House of Reps members

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has invited Senators elected on the on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the breaking of Ramadan fast (Iftar) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.

This was disclosed via a letter of invitation read by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, at the plenary on Tuesday.

The letter was signed by the Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi.

Osinbajo is expected to meet the APC Senators at Aguda House in the Aso Rock by 6.30 pm.

The Vice President has also invited members of the House of Representatives elected on the platform of the ruling APC to Iftar on Wednesday.

The invitation was made known in a letter read by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Ahmed Wase, at the opening of the plenary on Tuesday.

The invitation from Osinbajo is coming less than 48 hours after he hosted APC governors to the breaking of Ramadan fast on Sunday night to seek their support for his ambition to contest for the office of President in 2023.

The Vice President, in the early hours of Monday, formally declared his intention to run for President in the 2023 general election.
