Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, fondly called Davido, has announced his decision to formally join the Accord Party ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
Davido announced this via a post on his X account on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
The singer’s uncle and Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is seeking a second term in office under the platform of Accord Party.

The ‘Unavailable’ crooner stated that he would be in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, on Wednesday to collect his membership card.
“I Will be live in Osun to pick up my @AccordPartyNG membership card @ IMOLE HOUSE OSOGBO Tomorrow… see you soon ACCORDINGLY 😇 Cc @AAdeleke_01,” Davido wrote.
