Otuaro: First Lady’s trip sparks hope in Delta

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has commended the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, following her visit to Delta State on Thursday.

Otuaro described the one-day visit as a significant development for the government and people of Delta State, expressing optimism that it would strengthen ongoing efforts toward sustainable peace, security and development in the Niger Delta region.

According to him, stakeholders and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme are confident that the First Lady’s presence in Warri would serve as a boost to the programme’s mandate.

He lauded Tinubu as a symbol of national unity and peace, aligning her efforts with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu. Otuaro also highlighted her humanitarian outreach through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), describing the project as impactful in supporting vulnerable Nigerians across the country.

“The First Lady is a kind and empathic leader whose initiative continues to uplift lives and provide hope and empowerment to the needy,” Otuaro said.

He added that the Renewed Hope Initiative complements the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, aimed at advancing strategic development in the state.

Otuaro noted that the visit would remain memorable for many residents of Delta State, describing the First Lady’s intervention programmes as a legacy with lasting national impact.
